Get a Library Card
A free library card is available to all Maricopa County residents with photo ID and separate proof of address (utility bill, post-marked mail, car registration, etc.). Non-Maricopa County residents may also obtain a card for $40 a year with ID and proof of address. Features of the Avondale Public Library card include:
- Check out up to 30 items, 15 of which can be DVDs
- Check out items from the Beyond Books Collection
- Use of library computers
- Access to all of the library digital resources
Students in grades K-12 have the option of obtaining a Student Library Card instead of a standard library card. Features of the student card include:
- Check out up to 5 books and audiobooks at one time
- No overdue fees
- Use of library computers
- Access to all of the library digital resources
Students in K-8th grades need to provide a current Student ID from an accredited Maricopa County school and an acknowledgement form signed by their parent/guardian.
Students in 8th-12th grades need to provide a current Student ID from an accredited Maricopa County school.
To register for a card online, please fill out the online library card application. Please bring in your photo ID and proof of address to pick up your card at one of our library locations.
