Who can sign-up for a Book Box?
This service is exclusively for teens ages 13-17 with their own library card.
How do I register?
The registration form opens the 1st in January, March, May, July, September, and November. You must fill out this form every time. If you cannot see a form on this page, registration has closed.
What's in the box?
A Teen Book Box will contain at least one (1) library book to borrow, a review card, and 2-3 fun items to keep.
How many Book Boxes are there?
Book Boxes are limited to the first 20 teens who sign-up. One (1) per teen, per cycle.
Can I keep the box?
No. The box, library book, and review card need to be returned to the library, but you get to keep the extra goodies inside. Please return the box in good condition directly to a staff member inside. Do not return in book drops.
What if I changed my mind/I'm going on vacation?
If you no longer want a Book Box or will be away on vacation, please e-mail Librarian Chris at camarillas@avondaleaz.gov so she can remove your registration.
What if I don't pick up my Book Box in time?
Boxes are available for one week after being notified, similar to a library hold. If the box is unclaimed after 7 business days, it will be removed. Due to limited space, we are unable to reassemble boxes or hold them for longer than a week.
How much does this cost?
It's completely FREE!
I signed up! Now what?
You will be notified via e-mail when your Book Box is ready for pick-up! Filling out this form does not guarantee you will receive a box. If we are unable to provide you with a Book Box, you will notified via e-mail with the reason why.
You will need to show your library card or photo ID when picking up your Teen Book Box.
