Banned Books Week, celebrating the freedom to read.

Just in time for back to school the library has acquired a new database, World Book Online! Remember the massive row of blue encyclopedias that collected dust at your school library? World Book Online has modernized their collection by blowing the dust off the books and digitizing their content. The Encyclopedia is now divided into use by age groups and includes images, video and audio files, full-text articles from magazines and journals, and more!

Looking for e-books for beginning readers? Take a look at TumbleBooks. Offering 550 titles to choose from including animated talking picture books, books in English, French and Spanish, read-alongs, non-fiction books and National Geographic Videos, TumbleBooks is an excellent choice for young readers to engage with.
